Why Children On Ritalin: In the U.S. by the year 2000, 7 million children diagnosed with attention deficit disorders were prescribed Ritalin - a strong form of speed with known side-effects that include nervousness, dizziness, insomnia, joint pains, headaches, increased blood pressure, fever, rapid heartbeat, abdominal pain, and psychosis. There have been 51 deaths among children and adults taking drugs for ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) in the US since 1999.
Why Not Adults on Cannabis: Recent studies show that cannabis can be useful in nursing homes alleviating symptoms of Alzheimer, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, arthritis, chronic pain and the aggression that comes with dementia.
